Hello Fall.
For the first day of fall I’m away with good friends in Bar Harbor, Maine. I came ready and expectant for a adventurous weekend.
The fog was thick when we arrived and it was amazing over the water. It felt like a scene out of twilight. (now where is Edward)
Hiked the Precipice Trail on Chamberlin mountain.
Watched the fellas snorkel the harbor.
Finished the evening with ice cream and homemade blueberry pie. (a Maine must)
Bar harbor has my blessing. A must see town.

It’s a rainy day in Virginia beach, today, and calling for the next four (that might be pushing it) but, I love a good rainy day. It seems to slow me down and I don’t feel as obligated to be running around doing a million things.
And of course wearing my rain gear makes it even more acceptable.

On a lighter note, I am LOVING red/orange lips. In two days it’s back to all black at work for me and one of the places I’ve learned to throw in color, is on my lips.

it’s so easy to get caught up on what you are wearing, shopping for the latest trends, trying out a new makeup idea you saw in a magazine, and I know I do it alot not even for the approval of others but because I love all that stuff. There’s alot of pressure coming from all angles of life about what we “think” we should be. But God has created us all for a special purpose. And at the end of the day what matters most is my experiences through people, love, and service. That’s when I grow and learn.
Have fun with the hair and makeup but being beautiful is an action.

We went to have our photos done last week and I wanted to do something different with my hair but still pretty and timeless.

My mother was so thoughtful and bought us a gift, I couldn’t be more excited!

My first pop of choice recipe is going to be these pineapple coconut Popsicles!
INGREDIENTS
8 ounces fresh pineapple
½ cup pineapple juice
¼ cup unsweetened coconut milk
¼ cup milk
2 tablespoons sugar
¼ cup sweetened shredded coconut
Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.

How true it is that salt can cure. A good cry can usually make me feel better and any beach day is a good day for me.
Over this last weekend I went out for my first cold water dive experience to the Chesapeake light tower and a ship wreak called the brass spike. I was mentally preparing for it all week. I’ve been told time and time again ‘that diving is not physical it’s 100% mental’
This is so true. It’s the best way to figure out your mental strength and when you’re getting to wrapped up in the things you can’t control. My experience was amazing even with mask squeeze. I was honesty proud of myself after.
All I have control over is how I choose to react to situations.. Not how many sharks are around, the water temp, the size of waves or the current. I can choose to enjoy every situation for what’s been given to me.

I started shopping at Halleluabout a year ago and it quickly became my favorite one stop online shopping spot. Ive found some of my favorite pieces in my closet here at the most affordable prices. Catherine has a gift. And she is so amazing whenever I email asking anything she’s prompt with response and goes above and beyond.

Amazing the people who come and go out of your life, and the people who stay. Sometimes it’s a hard pill to swallow when your realize the friends who once were some of your best are now becoming strangers. But, in that same breath, it’s even more amazing the people you stumble upon that become your closest friends in a matter of minutes. All I know, is everyone is put into your life for a reason, and usually at the perfect time. Sometimes letting go of some to make room for new ones is just necessary.
God has placed amazing people in todds and mine. I am continually learning. That’s all I could hope for anyone.
So, let go and let god.
