My bridal shower was this past weekend, it was perfect, girly, and pink (pictures to follow this week on the amazing details). The weekend was a bit chilly and I was glad so I could wear this long sleeve maxi. I honestly can’t believe I’m five weeks away from being a bride. I don’t think heavily about it because it all makes me very emotional. I can’t wait to give everyone a romantic night and I can’t wait to marry this man…

I’m not a black Friday shopper. I get overwhelmed in crowds of people and standing in long lines and being cold are probably my two least favorite things about this time of year. So with my time off I’m going to work on wedding details..

Brain freeze.

Our engagement party was over the weekend.

It was perfect weather and a perfect evening with our families and friends. We have an exciting year ahead of us.

My mother was so thoughtful and bought us a gift, I couldn’t be more excited!

My first pop of choice recipe is going to be these pineapple coconut Popsicles!
INGREDIENTS
8 ounces fresh pineapple
½ cup pineapple juice
¼ cup unsweetened coconut milk
¼ cup milk
2 tablespoons sugar
¼ cup sweetened shredded coconut

Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.

I can’t believe it’s been a week since I’ve wrote to my readers. With weddings, hair, and vacations, it’s been busy.

My best friend made the most beautiful bride and I’m so glad I was a part of that day.

We leave Sunday for a week in Florida. I’m so looking forward to this down time. I have plans to surf and fish. Then, universal studios for a day, can’t wait to see the Harry potter side of the park! And some snorkeling adventures.

Focus

Life is so unpredictable.
God has a plan. Its never easy for me to understand. But i have learned that when i am broken not to hide it, my limp could save a life. The darkest, hardest times in my life, have always been the moments where i end up making the biggest growth and steps forward. Ive also learned that when times get tough that where you choose to focus, is where you’re going. Dont focus so much on what has already happened, youll miss what god is about to do.

I lost a close family friend last week. She was young radiant and beautiful. Its amazing how heavy it can make you feel. My thoughts feel scattered. I miss her. Theres no rule book on how to cope with this stuff, rights and wrongs. You just have to feel your way through it. Never refuse to feel. Ive tried to see the small blessings in this process, ive re connected with my brother and girlfriends i hadn’t made enough time for, and met some amazing new people that have shown me little pieces of my friend through their memories.
