Last day.
Went to the World War II museum. Our country is amazing. We are all so blessed. If you are ever in new orleans, you HAVE to go there. And they have a 4D movie, the theater was made just for it. Things come out of the ceiling, the seats shake, it snows at one point.. So awesome.
Then, headed to the airport for a long travel home.
Glad to be back. Cant wait to update with more pics and links to all the wonderful places i experienced.

Leave it up to Todd to set our alarm to wake up, and as im rushig around to make it to our bike tour on time at 8:00 am, i realize.. Todd never changed his clock, its 7 am. So with time to spare we headed back to Mothers for yummy coffee and breakfast. Then, headed to our bike tour (we went through confederacy of cruisers. They have a few different options of ones to take, including the creole, ninth ward, culinary, and a beer one where they take you to some of the oldest and secret local spots. With the coolest tour guides). Really enjoyed getting the history of new orleans and seeing some spots we would have never known about. Definitly recommend doing one. After, we walked the french quarter some more and had pinkberry, my first time. Evening, hung out with some of the friends we made, went to dinner at another great reaturant called the nepolean house, great little courtyard to sit in, and walked down to frenchman st, where alot of the local musicians play and locals hang. Another greay day.

Day one.
When we arrived it was a little gloomy out. We are staying in the cutest chateau called the St. James right off canal and the french quarter.
Around the corner from us is a cute mum and pop resturant appropriatly called “mothers” (when i get back in town ill give more photos) the breakfast was amazing with a choice of a shrimp creole omlet! And the best coffee ive ever had. Then we headed down to the french quarter, the sun came out!! Cute boutiques, art shows, bars gallore, and everything in between, including a beautiful cathedral.
Met some of the most amazing, kind hearted, giving people that i already consider great friends. {sarah & zach, thanks for the ride, hospitality, opportunity, invite to dinner, and sarahs contagious laugh}

Happy Easter.
Thankful for what Jesus did and what he endured and thankful for this day when he rose again.

I love this holiday for other reasons too, all the pretty Easter dresses!! And flower prints, or pale colors everyone wears. And not to mention jelly beans!!

What is Easter to you?
Matthew 27:50-53
And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, he gave up his spirit. At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook and the rocks split. The tombs broke open and the bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life. They came out of the tombs, and after Jesus’ resurrection they went into the holy city and appeared to many people.
Romans 1:4-5
And Jesus Christ our Lord was shown to be the Son of God when God powerfully raised him from the dead by means of the Holy Spirit. Through Christ, God has given us the privilege and authority to tell Gentiles everywhere what God has done for them, so that they will believe and obey him, bringing glory to his name.

The Human Experience.
This movie is about love, faith, and hope!! This has NOTHING to do with any hate! I do not support the horrible things that have gone on through history, but the point of this movie (this is a movie trailor) is about finding your purpose and helping the world. Please dont get caught up on the first 15 seconds of the trailor, its about the end of the trailor that made me love this movie.

Out of tragedy, comes hope. If that’s what you choose. We are all searching as humans for our purpose.. This movie is incredible, one of the best things I’ve ever stumbled across. Watch it, you’ll be so full after.

Happy Earth Day
20110421-100640.jpg

Each year, Earth Day — April 22 — marks the anniversary of what many consider the birth of the modern environmental movement in 1970.
It capitalized on the emerging consciousness, channeling the energy of the anti-war protest movement and putting environmental concerns front and center. Founded by Gaylord Nelson.

20110421-103418.jpg
I went to an art show that was put on for Earth day. All the artists made everything out of recyclables. Painting, jewelry, sculptures, etc.

One artist was making these amazing bangle cuffs out of old leather belts. He has had feather earrings made from feather dusters and pillows from storage units. Creative.

20110421-105327.jpg
An excellent event. A even better Day with a cause. Do something “green” today.

This weeks pick is, Empire. Located in downtown Norfolk. Super cute Tapas restaurant owned by a local who has four others just like this in different locations around the Hampton Rhoads. Each one has a different menu selection.

{yummy selection of different foods with all natural ingredients. I was a huge fan of the tomato basil soup.}

{perfect sized tasting proportions. with everything being prepared pristinely.}

{For dessert we had the signature Smores! So much fun getting to roast your own marshmallows. You HAVE to do the smores, even if you go just for dessert, its a must.}

{Thanks Empire, Full and Happy.}

For more information on Empire and the other restaurants please go on their website, here.
