Happy Thanksgiving.
This morning I woke up to this meditation;

“Sometimes in life, things happen too fast. We barely solve one problem when two new problems surface. We’re feeling great in the morning, but we’re submerged in misery by nightfall.

Every day we face interruptions, delays, changes, and challenges. We face personality conflicts and disappointments. Often when we’re feeling overwhelmed, we can’t see the lessons in these experiences.

One simple concept can get us through the most stressful of times. It’s called gratitude. We learn to say thank you for these problems and feelings. Thank you for the way things are. I don’t like this experience, but thank you anyway.

Force gratitude until it becomes habitual. Gratitude helps us stop trying to control outcomes. It is the key that unlocks positive energy in our life. It is the alchemy that turns problems into blessings, and the unexpected into gifts.

Today, I will be grateful. I will start the process of turning today’s pain into tomorrow’s joy.”

I’m lucky enough to know how very fortunate I am. I’m grateful every day for lifes experiences, and the extraordinary people I get to share them with.

{live by these small principles and your bound to be happy, joyous, and free}

What are you giving thanks to on this day?

Interesting story, When i started cutting hair, i was mortified at the thought of having to cut men’s hair. I just couldn’t understand it. I always took the clippers way above the occipital bone, i had no idea how to achieve a faux hawk, i always walked away feeling defeated. I was determined to not get that gut wrenching feeling anymore when Billy, Bob, Tommy, or He showed up on my book. I took many American crew, Redken, and Bed head cutting classes, I closely watched the other seasoned stylists and asked plenty of questions. Now, I have an abundant male clientele. And i feel most creative and comfortable cutting men’s hair. I love it. I seek inspiration all the time, and with the inspiration, I’m also lucky enough to have clients who trust in my opinion and talent.. they let me work my magic.

Yesterday, Todd and I drove up to Colonial Williamsburg (Virginia) to take in in the brisk fall weather, enjoy the changing of the leaves and just appreciate the restored town.

During the eighteenth century, Williamsburg became a major capital city, and played a role in the events leading to the American Revolution. On 30 May 1765, Patrick Henry spoke his famous words, “if this be treason, make the most of it” in denouncing the Stamp Act.

The idea of re-creating the town of Williamsburg originated with W. A. R. Goodwin, a local minister, who requested assistance from Henry Ford, boldly asking Ford to underwrite the cost of restoring the town where George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and Patrick Henry had lived and worked. When Ford did not respond, Goodwin approached John D. Rockefeller, who authorized Goodwin to purchase property in the town anonymously. Using 1790 as a cut-off date, Rockefeller had 720 buildings constructed after 1790 demolished and had eighty-two eighteenth-century buildings restored. The Rockefeller crew also rebuilt 341 buildings whose foundations remained. Completed in the mid-1930s, the Williamsburg reconstruction cost approximately $79 million.
